Jeanne Lanvin was born in 1867. While she was 13 years old she went to the first work - she has making hats and she was delivering them to Suzanne Talbot shop. 10 years later she opened her first butique in Paris.
Few years later Jeanne started to design and sew dresses for her youngest daughter. Then she started to sew clothes for herself, she was trying to destroy the border between elegant (and haughty) clothes for woman and colorful and "fresh" ones for children. She was making silk dresses, chiffon, lace and different expenisve materials.
Lanvin loved using and connecting colors, thanks to her new hue of blue just appeared "Lanvin blue". She died being 79 year old and her company was taken by her doughter Maire-Blanche. Then the company was coming from hands to hands, hovewer all owners were conncted with the family.
I think that flattened kitty
eyes in natural shade, with delicate decorations at the sides, are very woman
and elegant. I like it very much! If second, black, squary glasses don't have
gold, thin strap at the inner side, it would be heavy. But thanks to small
metal they are not. Except freshness it gives a little of mystery as well...
